Mitchell Berger (Guitar / Flute) since May 2025
Mitchell Berger grew up in Roseau, Minnesota, where he initially started playing flute and jazz guitar and continues to return to teach volunteer lessons to students in the wind ensemble program. Currently, Mitchell is a junior Music Education major at the University of North Dakota, graduating in Spring 2027, where he studies flute under Dr. Lisa Bost-Sandberg and plays guitar in the One O'Clock Jazz Big Band. Mitchell also is experienced in alto and bass flute, working heavily with jazz influenced improvisation in several aspects of his playing. Outside of music Mitchell is a board game hobbyist, and his favorite board games are Root and Ark Nova. Two fun facts about Mitchell, he is an experimental flutist who works with electric flute (or flute through a microphone with effects pedals), and he has also made several wooden flutes.
