This Freedom Song was sung as an anthem of protest during the Civil Rights Movement to spread the message of faith, determination and perseverance of the people who sang them. The composer has combined this with original music to the words of the Langston Hughes poem “Words Like Freedom” to create a wonderful showcase for mixed voices.
