Freedom

Freedom is the most cherished of all American principles. It is the dream that launched the birth of our nation, and the prayer we all hold for our children's future. It is the hope by which we live, and the cause for which so many have died. Freedom is, quite simply, who we are.

Created by Deborah Craig-Claar and David T. Clydesdale, Freedom is a cross-generational musical that combines narrations with inspiring original numbers, patriotic favorites, and three powerful new songs: Avalon's "For Freedom," Dennis Jernigan's "I Salute You" and an exciting new arrangement of the official song for the 2004 National Day of Prayer, "Let Freedom Ring." There is also a moving medley of great American hymns, framed by the eloquent words of Franklin D. Roosevelt's famous 1941 "Four Freedoms" speech. The accompaniment DVD provides historical and contemporary visual enhancement to the musical, while still allowing members of your community to participate through personal testimony and tribute. The extended section honoring our armed forces, present and past, makes Freedom an ideal offering for Independence Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, or remembering September 11th.
