The present volume contains 34 original duets for the collective music in class, concert and free time. The pieces are easy to intermediate and are aimed at advanced students, lovers and amateurs. Many duets are in the 1.-4. Playable, some use in addition thesimple Flageolett-A or the 5.-7. Location. The diverse selection with duets from Renaissance, Baroque, Classic, Romantic and Modern contains not only known classics by Dotzauer, Kummer, Lee, Offenbach or Reinagle, but also rarities by Morley, Boccherini, Schönebeck or Hindemith. It was ensured that both voices are equal and have a share in the melodic theme, so that making music is fun. The edition is based on first prints and autographs and offers a reliable original text. Sparingly supplemented fingerings and strokes are intended to be an aid to teaching and rehearsing. For practical reasons and with a view to the better turning possibilities, the duets are offered as separate parts.
