The August Kohr Master Viola
This master viola has an “antiqued” varnish and specially selected wood. The finish is a beautiful medium satin, featuring hues of medium reddish-brown to golden-brown. The viola boasts a clear, big sound with fine quality, range, and projection. When compared to European instruments selling at much higher prices, the value is evident. Only well-seasoned tonewoods are used. The instrument is set up with boxwood fittings, a Guarneri model chinrest, an Aubert “Luxe” bridge, Pirastro Evah Pirazzi strings with a Larsen A string.
