A dramatic piece filled with passion, it exploits the glories and strengths of love, the text at times quoting from the Song of Solomon. An artistic piano/cello accompaniment adds significant impact as it lends support to the singers. Most of the choral writing is for twoparts, with occasional divisi in one part.
