Like a fine artist, the composer paints a beautiful picture of this text by Wordsworth. Conservative ranges, and very little divisi put this piece within the reach of most choirs. The soprano solo adds interest to the piece, and it too, is conservative in its range; the 5-bar incidental tenor solo is at the octave with the soprano soloist. As the Wordsworth text suggests, “sing a joyous song!”
