At particular angles, sunlight will refract through ice crystals present in cirriform clouds to create the atmospheric phenomenon known as "parhelia." These appear as a pair of bright, often colorful spots of light on either side of the sun. This composition is a dazzling musical display of this unique visual phenomenon and a great addition to any concert program.
