The Joseph Alessi Artist Model tenor trombone is the result of experimenting further than Shires ever has before. A revolutionary combination of materials and construction, this instrument embodies a perfect balance of color, efficiency, and resonance. The unsoldered, two-piece, light-weight yellow-brass bell allows the Alessi model to effortlessly cut through any ensemble while maintaining a mature width of sound that holds together even with the most extreme demands of the repertoire. A gold brass F-attachment slide on the newly designed Alessi rotary valve brings forth depth and density of sound. The gold flanged tuning slide coupled with the rotary valve brings forth clarity and stability. The Alessi handslide utilizes a combination of different alloys to not only bring consistency and clarity to this model, but also to allow for the flexibility to change style and mood at the player’s will. Bell Design
Material and Construction: Features an 8.5-inch, two-piece, hand-hammered lightweight yellow brass bell with an unsoldered bead and special annealing treatment. This design facilitates effortless projection while maintaining a broad and warm sound.

F-Attachment and Valve System

Interchangeable Leadpipes
