Dramatic Masterpieces for the Cornetist

Jean-Baptiste Arban (1825-1889) wrote and arranged over 300 pieces of music, with his cornet a pistons solos being the most important to trumpet and cornet players. After his death, much of his work fell into obscurity during the twentieth century. Rediscovering ArbanÆs masterful music was the motivation for compiling this collection of cornet pieces. Included pieces are: ôVariations Brilliantes,öôFantaisie brillante sur lÆair populaire de Marlborough,ö ôFantaisie brillante sur des motifs de La Cenerentola de Gioachino Rossini,ö ôLe Pre aux Clercs,ö ôRomance de Mignon de Ambroise Thomas,ö among other brilliant works.
