Provides stable tone and durability
This model is designed with Duet+™ original Yamaha technology that produces an ABS resin bore lining, which minimizes changes to the internal wood and enhances precision for tonal stability.
Design informed by professional and custom models
The addition of leather pads, vertically integrated from professional and custom Yamaha models, provides a more consistent seal of the tone holes. The improved seal of the leather pads facilitates a wider dynamic range with more power and nuance at both the loud and soft volumes. The leather pads also offer excellent durability and help decrease pad noise.
Optimized bell and bore taper
To balance the change in pads, the bell and bore taper have been optimized for greater clarity and resonance on lower notes, to maintain an even tone and stable intonation across registers.
Ergonomic design for player comfort
Built to accommodate all hand sizes, the adjustable thumb rest can be set to a height that is most comfortable for individual players, reducing thumb discomfort and fatigue.
