The Yamaha YPC32 Piccolo

Silver-Plated Nickel Silver Headjoint
Yamaha’s YPC32 is a standard level piccolo featuring a silver-plated nickel silver headjoint and an ABS resin body. The brightness of the metal headjoint is tempered by the mellowness of the wood-like ABS resin body.
ABS Resin Body
The material of the piccolo’s body is constructed of ABS Resin. This is a highly durable material that mimics the warm sound of natural wood without the worry of cracking due to fluctuations in temperature or humidity–perfect for outdoor use.
Conical Body Shape
This piccolo has a Conical Bore meaning that the top of the piccolo’s body is wider than its bottom end – like a cone. This produces a piccolo with very stable intonation and resonance.
Split-E Mechanism
This piccolo comes with a Split E mechanism. The basic structure of the piccolo can make the third-octave E note difficult to produce. To make it easier, the arm of the split E mechanism brings down the duplicate G key while you finger the high E. Closing this key will make your high E easier to play.
